MOSCOW, Idaho – Ricardo Chavez tied his career-high by going 4-4 in field goals and added three PATs to score 15 points. He added two punts, averaging 65 yards to help the Idaho Vandals pull off the first Idaho FCS over FBS win since 1994. For his efforts he was named the STATS Perform National Special Teams Player of the Week and the Big Sky Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Chavez, a senior from Los Angeles, hit field goals of 26, 34, 43 and 29 on the day, as the Vandals pulled away from the Wolfpack in the dominating win.
